DCNS SWORDSHIP

The Swordship concept, DCNS wanted to present at Euronaval an ultimate stealth ship design.

The industrial design of this vessel had to be particularly aggressive, dynamic, and fluid, while also incorporating stealth requirements. The bridge and walkway were redesigned; the deck fittings and armaments were concealed, and the aerials (antennas, masts, and radars) were combined into an innovative pyramidal mast concept.

The overall design is such that enemy radar "glides" over Swordship. It is fast and its design makes it potentially invisible despite its 145m length and 5300t displacement when fully loaded.
